Real Treatment. Real Connection. From Wherever You Are.

Evening Virtual PHP & IOP

Getting help for substance use shouldn’t mean choosing between treatment and your job, your children, your family responsibilities, or where you live.

Recovery Connections of Maine offers Evening Virtual PHP and IOP services Monday through Friday, allowing adults to receive structured, intensive substance use treatment from the privacy of home.

And treatment doesn’t stop with groups.

When clinically appropriate, participants can also access Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), psychiatric services, and mental-health support virtually as part of their overall treatment plan.

Two Levels of Evening Care

Virtual PHP — Monday–Friday | 4:00–8:00 PM

Our higher-intensity evening track provides additional treatment time and clinical support for individuals who need a more structured level of outpatient care while remaining in their home and community.

Virtual IOP — Monday–Friday | 5:00–8:00 PM

Our Intensive Outpatient Program provides structured substance use treatment five evenings per week while allowing participants to continue working, parenting, attending school, and managing other responsibilities during the day.

Placement in the appropriate level of care is based on an individualized clinical assessment.

Integrated Virtual Care

More Than Groups

Recovery often involves more than addressing substance use alone. Mental health, medications, cravings, anxiety, depression, trauma, sleep, and other concerns can all affect someone’s ability to get well and stay well.

That’s why our virtual program can bring multiple components of care together.

Depending on individual clinical needs and eligibility, services may include:

  • Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
  • Psychiatric evaluation and medication management
  • Mental-health assessment and treatment
  • Individual counseling and clinical check-ins
  • Substance use disorder treatment
  • Group therapy and clinical processing
  • Psychoeducation and recovery skills
  • Relapse-prevention planning
  • Care coordination and ongoing clinical support

Rather than requiring participants to find separate providers for every aspect of their care, our goal is to provide a more coordinated treatment experience.

Who Is Virtual Treatment For?

Our evening virtual programs may be a strong fit for adults who meet clinical criteria for this level of care but experience barriers to attending traditional daytime or in-person programming.

This may include people who:

  • Work during traditional treatment hours
  • Have parenting or childcare responsibilities
  • Live in rural or underserved communities
  • Have limited access to reliable transportation
  • Live a significant distance from treatment services
  • Have family, educational, or other daytime responsibilities
  • Need substance use and mental-health services that can fit into their lives

Programs are available to both men and women who are clinically appropriate for virtual care.

What Does Treatment Look Like?

Participants connect securely through virtual programming and become part of a consistent therapeutic community.

Treatment includes five days of structured group programming each week, along with an individual clinical check-in or counseling session during the week.

Participants work on understanding addiction, identifying triggers, managing cravings, coping with difficult emotions, improving relationships and communication, developing relapse-prevention strategies, and building a sustainable life in recovery.

When appropriate, MAT, psychiatric care, mental-health treatment, and medication management can be incorporated into the participant’s treatment plan virtually, creating a more comprehensive approach to recovery.

Accountability Is Still Part of Virtual Treatment

Virtual does not mean less structured.

Participants are expected to actively engage in programming and meet the clinical expectations established for their level of care.

When toxicology screening is clinically required, our team will coordinate the appropriate testing process and provide participants with clear instructions.

Treatment That Fits Into Real Life

You may have a job you cannot leave.

You may have children at home.

You may live an hour or more away from treatment.

You may not have reliable transportation.

Or you may need both addiction and mental-health care but struggle to coordinate multiple providers.

Those barriers should not automatically prevent you from receiving meaningful, structured treatment.

Our Evening Virtual PHP and IOP programs are designed to bring substance use treatment, mental-health support, medication services, and recovery care together—while allowing people to remain connected to their everyday lives.

Getting Started Is Simple

We’ll learn more about what you’re experiencing, complete the appropriate screening and assessment process, and determine the level of care and services that are clinically appropriate.
