Admissions Process
Connextions Behavioral Health
Our admissions team is available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
At Connextions Behavioral Health, we offer structured, supportive treatment for individuals in need of behavioral health and substance use services. Our admissions process is efficient, transparent, and designed to connect individuals to the right level of care as quickly as possible.

Initial Pre-Screening (Quick Meet & Greet)
The admissions process starts with a brief pre-screening call to determine if our programs are a good fit.
During this call, we assess:
- Basic eligibility for our services.
- Medical and psychiatric stability to determine the appropriate level of care.
- Insurance verification (MaineCare, private insurance, out-of-network options).
If the individual meets our general criteria, they move on to a full clinical screening.
Full Screening & Level of Care Assessment
After the pre-screening, individuals complete a full clinical screening at our outpatient center, which includes:
- A comprehensive assessment to determine the appropriate level of care.
- Evaluation of any medical or psychiatric concerns that might require a higher level of care before admission.
Based on this assessment, individuals will be:
- Scheduled for admission (if appropriate).
- Placed on a waitlist if no immediate openings are available.
- Referred to a higher level of care (such as detox or residential treatment) before being eligible for our programs.
Admission & Placement in the Right Level of Care
1. Recovery Housing (Men & Women)
- Medically stable individuals are either admitted immediately or placed on a waitlist for bed availability.
- Upon admission, individuals complete a biopsychosocial assessment within the first 24 hours to determine their specific needs.
- They are then enrolled in the appropriate level of outpatient treatment (PHP, IOP, or standard outpatient care) based on their prior assessment.
2. Travas House Program (MaineCare Exclusive)
- A six-month residential program fully funded by MaineCare.
- Individuals must meet MaineCare eligibility criteria and will be either admitted or placed on a waitlist.
- If additional stabilization is needed before admission, we assist in coordinating detox or residential care.
3. Outpatient Services (Scheduled After Recovery Housing & Travas House Admissions)
If an individual qualifies for outpatient services only, they are:
- Scheduled immediately if space is available.
- Placed on a waitlist for group inclusion if necessary.
Services include:
