What Makes Our Sober Living Homes Unique?
FeaturesLow-Barrier Access
We believe sober living should be accessible, not an obstacle. Our homes provide an easy transition from treatment to independent living, with minimal financial barriers to entry.
Multiple Housing Options
- Two primary men’s sober living homes providing structured support.
- A rooming house for men needing more flexibility.
- An additional home for more independent living as residents transition toward full autonomy.
Spacious, Comfortable Housing
Unlike crowded or institutional-style sober homes, our historical homes offer plenty of space, a welcoming atmosphere, and a sense of community.
Structure & Support in Sober Living
Men's Sober LivingResidents are also encouraged to build their local recovery network through 12-step meetings, peer support groups, and community involvement. The Lewiston-Auburn area has a thriving recovery community, providing additional support and connection.
Most of our residents come from traditional treatment programs, including:
- Our six-month residential program
- 30-day rehab programs
- Other treatment facilities across New England and beyond
While in sober living, many residents engage in outpatient treatment, including:
- Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP)
- Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
- Traditional outpatient therapy
A Path Toward Independence
Men's Sober LivingOur sober living program is designed to transition men toward self-sufficiency.
Residents often:
- Gain employment or enroll in school/trade programs.
- Develop life skills to maintain sobriety and financial independence.
- Phase up to increased independence before moving into their own housing.
At Connections Behavioral Health, we believe that sober living should empower individuals, not limit them. Our low-barrier model ensures that men in recovery have a safe, supportive place to rebuild their lives, with a clear path toward long-term independence.
