Sober Living That Supports Medication-Assisted Treatment
MATWhether you’re transitioning from detox, stabilizing on a new medication, or rebuilding your life after treatment, our housing provides a safe space to recover with dignity.
Residents can:
- Continue MAT (Suboxone, Sublocade, Vivitrol, Naltrexone, etc.)
- Access psychiatric and medical support through our team
- Participate in outpatient, IOP, or PHP services while living in recovery housing
- Receive assistance with employment, transportation, and life skills
Our homes are centrally located near job opportunities, local meetings, and treatment options—providing a full ecosystem of support for long-term success.

Clinical Oversight & Psychiatric Support
RCOM is proud to have a Medical Director and a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner on staff to ensure all residents receive the integrated care they need. Our team provides:
- MAT monitoring and education
- Coordination with outpatient prescribers
- Psychiatric evaluation and medication management
- Harm reduction–informed care that treats each individual with respect and compassion
Recovery Housing Options at RCOM
For Men
- Gender-specific sober homes in Lewiston and Portland
- Access to our residential treatment program (up to 6 months of extended care)
- Step-down to outpatient services while maintaining structure and accountability
For Women
- Safe and empowering recovery residences for women
- MAT-friendly environments with full access to psychiatric care
- Flexible length of stay with clinical support as needed
All RCOM homes include peer support, structured guidelines, random drug testing, and case management services to promote long-term success.
Integrated Outpatient & PHP Services
Residents can easily step into Partial Hospitalization (PHP) or Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) while living in our homes. These clinical services help individuals:
- Stabilize on medication
- Address trauma, anxiety, and other co-occurring disorders
- Receive group and individual therapy
- Transition into independent living with a support team in place
Our multidisciplinary approach blends clinical, psychiatric, and peer-based recovery supports, giving residents the tools they need for lasting change.
Employment & Life Skills
We support our residents in getting back to work and contributing to their communities. With locations near job centers and trade opportunities, residents receive:
- Job placement and resume help
- Budgeting and life skills coaching
- Access to workforce development through our 501(c)(3) training programs (electrician, welding, and construction)

We accept MaineCare as well as private insurance, and we are in-network with many major insurance providers. Whether you’re a Maine resident or living in nearby Massachusetts or New Hampshire, our team can help determine your eligibility and coverage. We work closely with families, referral sources, and case managers to ensure a smooth intake process.
